Surrounded by spruce trees, there are six 250-year-old beeches (Les Six Hêstres). This place with the bony, moss-covered trees makes a mystical, enchanted impression. It was shepherds who used to take their lunch break here with their flocks, because the spruce trees around didn't exist yet. Two benches still invite you today, but the ravages of time have gnawed at them as well as at the tree ruins, which have been marked by wind and weather.

These beeches at the end of their lives, around 250 years old, were classified in 1936.
In the past, shepherds and their flocks used this place as a prandj'lohe (resting place). Young beeches were replanted in 1993 by Friends of the Fens.
