The pier at Wohlenberger Wiek has its very own charm...it's crumbling and rusting everywhere...that makes for lots of great photo opportunities

Even if the old "potato feeder" looks ailing and dilapidated, it's not that old. It was only built in 1981 and was used in the GDR to ship potatoes. After reunification, it was no longer needed and gradually fell into disrepair. There were enough new concepts, the last one provided for holiday homes on the pier. But the feeder is still slumbering, much to the delight of anglers.
