The ascent of the Großer Widderstein is advisable from Baad in the counterclockwise direction. Up to and from the actual entry is a mountain tour without much difficulty. Ascent in the summit channel demands surefootedness and mindfulness, especially due to loose scree. Attention: in the summer months heavily frequented.

The tour on the Großer Widderstein (2,533 m) is not an insider's tip, but the crisp summit rise and the magnificent panoramic view make up for the fact that a lot can be going on at the weekend! If you are busy on such days, it is best to wear a helmet because there are always a few crazy people who do not behave properly. So definitely have the right equipment with you!

Fantastic natural landscape, on a sunny May day only a little tourism, the last 400hm on the Widderstein are feasible only with frequent use of hands and risk-taking. Large snowfields cover the lavishly marked trails and make a climb in May even more difficult.
