It's very beautiful here, especially when it's foggy and the sun is trying to break through. Nice and shady in summer and easy to walk with a dog. You can shorten or lengthen the round as you like.

"... The numerous small bodies of water in the 73-hectare protected area represent the habitat for countless amphibians: with more than 50,000 animals, this is probably the largest occurrence of amphibians in the northern low mountain ranges.
The "Grundlose Taubenborn" protected area includes not only different types of water bodies, but also damp and wet grassland as well as small alluvial forests. The "bottomless" are water-filled sinkholes that were created by leaching gypsum or salt underground.
Numerous amphibians use the Taubenborn and Grundlose ponds as breeding grounds. Here they mate, lay their eggs and develop into adult amphibians. Three of the amphibian species found here are protected throughout Europe - including the crested newt. In order to ensure the survival of the water dragon in the long term, the waters of the Taubenborn and Grundlose, as well as the traditional cultural landscape surrounding them, belong to the European network of protected areas "Natura 2000". You are part of our European natural heritage. ..."
