Hiking

The first urn was discovered by Kasper Bender in 1925 while digging the sand at the edge of the forest. A short time later, two more graves from the Hallstatt period (750-500 BC) were found nearby. Further finds from this period were made on Anzefahrer Strasse when a barn was built in 1931 and when the courtyard was expanded in 1968. During excavations carried out by Prof. Dr. Gero v. Merhart, the schoolchildren planted four spruce trees in a square and placed a sandstone in the middle.
