Ankenbühl Trailhead (Bernauer Hochtalsteig)

Unfortunately, as is often the case, there is a paid parking lot between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., but with a daily fee of 5 euros (July 2022), it is at least reasonably cheap.
Nevertheless, I cannot quite understand why hiking and nature are so highly praised here in the Upper Black Forest and guests pay a tourist tax, but are then asked to pay for parking everywhere in the HIKING parking lots.
We would have liked to travel by public transport to go hiking, but depending on the accommodation, this is an undertaking that is not in proportion to the time.

The Bernauer Hochtalsteig has established itself as a so-called premium trail. Here at Ankenbühl above Bernau-Weierle is the most common starting point, even if entry is of course also possible at other points.

Directly at the Ankenbühl hiking car park. You can get a day ticket for €5. It's best to come early as the parking lot fills up quickly.
