The baroque rose garden is located in the inner courtyard of the Neue Residenz not far from Domplatz. 4,500 roses of various kinds bloom in the garden, with statues in between with motifs from ancient mythology.

The rose garden offers a good view over the roofs of Bamberg's old town and to the former monastery on the Michelsberg. The “Speisecafé Rosengarten” can also be found here. So a nice place for a little rest before or after visiting the cathedral. However, one is usually not alone with the idea here. ;)
