The foundation stone for the Evangelische Martinskirche Wüstenstein was laid in 1864 and the church was consecrated after its construction in 1867. Today's interior is characterized by the neo-Gothic style. In the church on the left is a side altar from 1710, which was in the previous church, the castle church as part of the Wüstenstein Castle. The castle church itself dates from the 14th century, but was abandoned from 1850 due to dilapidation.
From 1970 to 1972 the Martinskirche was renovated and partially redesigned. The new altarpiece by the painter Senf from Munich was also purchased here.
