As the most important wetland of the entire Balearic Islands, the Parc Natural de s'Albufera was declared a bird sanctuary in 1987. And rightly so, more than 80% of Majorcan birds and over 230 different species live here alone. Also, flamingos love to rest here on their way south. In the partly swampy area but also over 400 different plant species find a home. With a size of 1646 hectares and a diameter of 32 km, the Parc Natural de s'Albufera is very spacious. However, a partially paved trail leads to about 16 km around the park, for which a bike ride is highly recommended.
