The jubilee waiting area at the Eschenkogel at 653 m is an important point on the Anninger. In appropriate weather, it offers a wonderful view, on some days to the Ötscher! However, after the hassle of climbing up the Anninger, most walkers no longer take the little extra effort of ascending to the waiting room.
The 25 m high iron construction of the control room was built in 1898 by the Association of Friends of Nature in Mödling from 1877 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Josef. In the Mödlinger newspaper of 5 February 1898 ([MöZ] p.3) it is reported that the cooperative of the Gast and Geschankgewerbetreibenden with the seat in Mödling for the establishment of the Kaiser-Jubiläumsveste at the Anninger the amount of 10 fl. (Crowns) recorded. Will be approved later.
