View of Lauenburg Old Town

Located directly on the banks and slopes of the Elbe, historic half-timbered houses are lined up on Elbstraße. With the many lovingly renovated houses, the old town of Lauenburg is the largest ensemble of monuments in all of Schleswig-Holstein.
History comes to life on a walk along the old cobblestone streets of the shipping town. Numerous small alleys and stairs connect the old town with the upper town. The castle there with its castle tower and princely garden is reminiscent of the time of the Ascanian dukes.lauenburg.de/tourismus

From the Elbe dike (Elbe Cycle Path) in Hohnstorf you have a great view of the Elbe, Lauenburg and the Lauenburg Elbe Bridge!

It looks very picturesque when you look over the Elbe to the old buildings. A nice motive.
