The Friedrichsbrücke over the Hudau in Bad Bramstedt is part of the old road between Altona and Kiel. It was built from mid-1830 to late 1833 as the first art street in Schleswig-Holstein. The 90.20 km long road shortened the travel time between the two cities from around 16 to nine hours thanks to the straight lines, the new bridges and the rock fall road built according to the macadam principle. In addition, more freight could be transported on the stable route.
Altonaer Straße, which leads over Friedrichsbrücke, still has the basalt pavement that was set in 1926. With increasing traffic, the Chaussee was covered with large and small pavement from around 1875.

The pavement on the bridge is quite bumpy and the parallel bike path is unfortunately also quite junk.

The 90 kilometer long road shortened the travel time between the two cities thanks to the straight lines, the new bridges and the stone road from over 15 to nine hours.
