The Sieben-Meter-Teich (also written as a seven-meter pond or 7-meter pond) is an approximately 60,000 square meter quarry pond in the Döhren district of the Lower Saxony state capital of Hanover. It was created by gravel quarrying in the first half of the 20th century, which, like the adjacent gravel ponds, was followed by the conversion of the waterlogged gravel pits into a natural recreational landscape. It got its name because it is said to be exactly seven meters deep, which is not true. Its maximum depth is only 4.5 meters.
