Really a highlight worth mentioning - the hiker stands here in front of the oldest church in the Middle Odenwald. The architectural style alone testifies to the peculiarity of this building, after all the construction goes back over 1000 years and dates to 775 AD

The church was first mentioned in 1113. Presumably its history goes back much further: up to the year 800 AD, the time of the own church. The Johanniterkapelle or Bartholomäus Church is now used as a cemetery chapel.
