Uphill approach possible from 3 sides.
1. Coming from Lembach the first 2.5 km rather flat (1-4%), then about 1 km steep (about 10%), then a short break after Pfaffenbronn and then another 1.5 Km with 3-6%
2. Coming from the direction of Lobsan approx. 3 km with a rather even gradient between 4-6%
3. From Drachenbronn-Birlenbach (junction at the barracks 901): 100 meters in altitude on about 1.1 km with a gradient between 6% and 13% (the steepest 1000 meters that I know in Northern Alsace :-))
