The ruins Wolfsberg was a former high medieval Adelsburg high above the Trubachtal above the village Wolfsberg. Wolfsberg Castle was probably built around 1150 by the Edelfrei von Wolfsberg. The lords of Wolfsberg are documented with Gozpold de Wolfesperch since 1169. It can be assumed that they came from the noble-sex of those of Schönfeld-Gößweinstein. The ruins can be reached from the village of Wolfsberg. Today, the ruin serves for the most part as a viewing platform for visitors. It opens up a wide view over the valley of the Trubachs and the surrounding area.
