Pisselberg is a district of the city of Dannenberg (Elbe) in the municipality of Elbtalaue in the district of Lüchow-Dannenberg.

The village is located 1.5 km northwest of the core area of Dannenberg on a flat, elongated terrain elevation in the Jeetzel lowlands. The Jeetzel, which is dyed towards the village, flows past the southwestern outskirts of the village. The Hitzacker-Dannenberg railway line runs on a dam directly on the northern edge of the settlement.

In the night of August 21-22, 1847, the village apparently burned down completely, as can be seen from numerous house inscriptions. Then the reconstruction took place with thinning of the old settlement core and row-like expansion along the road to Dannenberg. From the gable four-column hall buildings, various were not aligned with their economic gables to the Dorfstrasse, but to the Aue ("march"). Due to the later construction of the railway line (1869–73), these houses were cut off from the direct access to the lowlands. Today's townscape has changed little compared to the reconstruction period of 1848. In the south-east there was later an expansion with some new buildings.

On July 1, 1972 Pisselberg was incorporated into the city of Dannenberg (Elbe).

The Dannenberg-Pisselberg transmitter, a transmitter for medium-wave broadcasting, was in operation from 1978 to 1998. The mast was dismantled in 2014.

Pisselberg is a small village between Dannenberg and Hitzacker. There used to be a train station on the Lüneburg-Dannenberg line in Pisselberg. The railway line is still in operation, but the train doesn't stop in Pisselberg these days (if you ask and have a lot of luggage, the engine driver might make an exception).
There is also a road from Dannenberg via Pisselberg to Hitzacker, which I mostly use when I ride my bike to Hitzacker, because there is less traffic and it is also shorter than on the main route.
