The castle domain of Hof ter Borght was created in the late 18th century in the meadows of the Grote Nete, on the edge of the Merode area. The castle was built as a classicist country house with a beautiful orangery, grape conservatory, coach house and aviary. An equally beautiful castle park surrounds the buildings. There are three islands in the central pond, one of which has a duck decoy. The largest island on which a footpath has been constructed can be reached via a small bridge. around the pond are grassy areas and valuable forests with centuries - old trees and a hidden ice cellar . the domain was protected as a monument in 2002 .

The entire domain of the castle is open to the public, it is pleasant to walk in the 20 hectare domain. It can also be combined with a subsequent walk along the Grote Nete!
