The plant with a double trench ring goes back to the time before the year 1000 AD. The castle was probably built in the 13th century. Since its foundation, the castle, which is actually a castle, is owned by the freeman family of Fraunberg. During the Thirty Years War, it was looted and badly damaged. 1683 the plant was rebuilt. The client was Victor von Fraunberg. In recent years, a basic interior and exterior renovation. In some rooms stucco ceilings from the construction period of 1683 are still preserved.
Today, the castle is used privately.
