After the Hainmühle, which formerly belonged to the Naumburg monastery, was broken out of the area of the Kraichen Free Court after the Reformation and the monastery was dissolved due to considerable disputes and military conflicts between Friedberg Castle and the Count of Hausen, the village of Kaichen had to be supplied with its own grain mill again. The construction of the Lögesmühle - which is only 2 kilometers away from the Hainmühle - met these requirements and fulfilled the purpose of having our own mill close to the village. The miller of Lögesmühl showed his gratitude and promoted the construction of the new Protestant church in the years 1735 - 1737 to the best of his ability. The mill is now used as a residence. The water supply for the former mill is still intact.
