The residential area Teerofenbrücke was built around 1745 with the construction of a tar furnace in the forest area of the district Hohenfelde. The location had a wooden storage space, a convenient location on the West or with the Teerofendamm connection to the postal road from Schwedt / Oder to Szczecin. Today, a bridge leads over the canal into the Oderniederungen.
