Hiking Highlight
You don't always have to go far to see far. The water block is actually an inconspicuous elevation of the Reichraminger Hintergebirge. If you start on the forest road to the Dörflmoaralm and try to spot the summit cross on the wide alpine pastures, you will despair. When you finally stand at the small wrought-iron summit cross and turn once around your own axis, you are overwhelmed by how far the view extends. There are no "disturbing" elevations in the way. The view extends to the west to the Großer Priel, Spitzmauer and the Sengsengebirge with their highest elevation, the Hohe Nock. In the south you can see the imposing Haller Walls with large and small Pyhrgas and in the east you can see as far as the Gesäuse if the conditions are good.

It takes its name from the many streams on its slopes that drain the water when it rains.
