Traditional inn and beer garden in the Kreuzstrasse district of the Valley, directly at the eponymous crossroads. There must have been an inn at this point for hundreds of years, since the Roman and Salt Roads converge here. This is where the district got its name from. In 1889 the restaurant was taken over by Count Carl von Arco. Since then, the house has been a brewery restaurant that is leased to innkeepers. In 1969, the legendary innkeeper Max Aichler renamed the Gasthof Kreuzstraße Bartewirt, inspired by his mighty bushy beard, which became his trademark.
