Next to the Church Our Lady of Immaculate Conception is the Cave of the Cyclists, a bicycle pilgrimage site that attracts many hundreds of visitors every year. The cave is unique in Belgium. The Cave of the Cyclists was built in 1996, following the pilgrimage site of La Chapelle de Notre Dame des Cyclistes in Labastide-d'Armagnac, France. Every year, many hundreds of cycling enthusiasts from all over Flanders flock to the cave for the annual bicycle consecration on the first Sunday of March. Many cyclists donated a jersey to the cave, so that a small museum has grown in the church with a collection of more than 100 jerseys by, among others, Eddy Merckx, Fabian Cancellara, Francesco Moser, Johan Museeuw, Tony Martin, Hennie Kuiper, Niels Albert and Philippe Gilbert.Cycling bends: the first Sunday of March from 10am to 12pm and on request.
