"...The Kamptal nature reserve is one of three nature reserves in the Schönebeck district of Essen.
The protected area encompasses the flat valley of a natural stream that drains from west to east. It borders in the north on the terraced cemetery and the small Schönebeck cemetery, in the southeast on the Essen-Duisburg railway line and, with its western extension, extends to Heißener Straße. To the south there is an extensive arable area.
The protected area is accessible by a walking path, and on the southern border a footpath leads along the adjacent arable land..."
