Orchard meadows have always characterized the landscape of Franconian Switzerland. It is not for nothing that the fruit growing region of Franconian Switzerland has made a name for itself as one of the largest closed sweet cherry growing regions in Germany. In addition to the cherries, apples, pears, plums, mirabelles and much more are also grown here and then processed into fresh jams, delicious desserts and fine distillates. Thanks to fruit growing, a very high density of distilleries was able to develop in the region.
