The Mühlheimer Church was built by Count Jofried von Leiningen-Hardenburg in the 1330s. At the beginning of the 17th century, the house in Leiningen-Heidesheim had it converted into a castle church, the burial place of the count's family being created in the choir. In the choir of the church there are wall paintings from around 1350. As the "castle church" of the Counts of Leiningen - Heidesheim, it gained regional importance.

The church appears to be abandoned. Behind it is an old cemetery with overturned gravestones. Very mystical.
