Beautiful circular hiking trail through woods and fields, next to a rushing river and over a small wooden bridge. A slight incline takes you to the Frillensee, which you can also walk around separately, or you can take the shortcut over a wooden walkway along the lake.

The Frillensee, a glacial lake, is considered the coldest lake in Germany and lies in the middle of a landscape protection area. Therefore it can only be reached on foot or by bike. A circular hiking trail leads around the lake past the north bank, which is adjoined by a raised moor, and is surrounded by a diverse range of flora. Even though swimming is not permitted, the lake offers a variety of opportunities to enjoy nature.
