The Zwieselalm is a privately run refuge above the Alpine town of Bad Reichenhall. The mountain hut is open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on the weather, on the weekends, from mid-July to mid-September, depending on the weather, on Wednesdays. Next to the alpine hut is the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Haus, overnight stays are not possible there at the moment.

The Zwieselalm is worth it for the view alone. But the homemade Zwiesel liqueur is also great.
The UV filtered water is also very tasty.
Snacks are great too.

If you climb up to the Zwieselalm, the city lies in beautiful splendor at your feet. Here peace and vision prevail.
