The Zahme Gamseck is a historically important alpine via ferrata with a difficulty level of A/B. There is hardly a better way to get to the Raxplateau - with a constant view of the nearby Schneealpe.

The Zahme Gamseck (not to be confused with the Wilden Gamseck = free climbing in the 2nd level of difficulty!) is a technically easy, very well insured via ferrata (A/B). As the name suggests, chamois sightings are very likely and nature also has some other beauties in store (rock scenery!). From the exit, it is almost at ground level to the Habsburghaus with its beautiful panoramic terrace.
