For a circumnavigation of the Hullerner reservoir one can choose between different path lengths. The maximum length is about 13 kilometers, which includes on the one hand the confluence of the Stever and on the other side still the connector of the Stever to Halterner reservoir takes.

With the help of two pedestrian bridges but also shorter distances can be used.

The dam Hullern (Hullerner See) in the district Recklinghausen in North Rhine-Westphalia, dams the Stever above the Halterner reservoir. The Gelsenwasser AG uses the dam for water extraction, it also serves the silent recovery. The dam was inaugurated on October 15, 1985 after thirteen years of construction.
The water depth is a maximum of eight meters. (Source: Wikipedia)

The narrow, quiet and "locked" brother of the Lakes Lake. It is not very quiet here either, but of course the way along this lake is not nearly as much frequented as the paths around the See.

They are mostly greened and mushroomed, but with this old huge and tall tree stump a photo is always worthwhile 😉.

A great destination; but heed the weather forecast beforehand because there is only one shelter in the rain on the track.

Very nice view, but no chance with the dogs to come to the water .... legally by all means 😂

Certainly very scenic. Because hikers and cyclists share almost all paths, it is not really recommended for either party to circle the lake. At least not on weekends when the weather is nice.
This also applies to Lake Haltern.

  • Hi 🙋🏼‍♂️👀

As an alternative or addition to the Haltern Reservoir, you can also take a very nice hike around Lake Hullen 👍

On a cool but sunny morning like today, it's really good mood to walk around the whole lake. There are beautiful viewpoints along the way.

Very nice walks possible. Sufficient benches and resting places are available. Owners with dogs get their money's worth. However, the weather should be dry, otherwise there is no proper protection from rain for miles. But incredibly beautiful in the sunshine.
