The Catholic parish and pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomew dates back to the 15th century and was built as a fortified church. In the centuries that followed, the church was repeatedly built, renovated and expanded. These probably led to the rededication of the church patron around the end of the 17th century. The church was consecrated in honor of the Apostle Bartholomew. The “old part” of today's church dates from the 18th century and should be viewed in connection with its increasing importance as a place of pilgrimage. Worth seeing in this context is the picture of grace, the Maria Hilf copperplate engraving on the altar. Since the seats in the church were no longer sufficient in the 1960s, it was decided to add a new building, which was then started in 1974. After a number of difficulties during the construction phase, the new building was inaugurated in 1980.
