On the side wall of the Gyllenberg Skole you will find this mosaic by the well-known and now elderly local artist, Marit Bockelie (°1933).
She made "The Rooster" in 2015. The animal stands on the ridge of a house. Against the facade of that house is a tree, in which five children and two cats are climbing.
At a superficial glance at the work you may not notice it: the rooster does not have a beak, but a bügel.
The work is at its most beautiful when the sun shines on it: the gold-coloured tiles that are incorporated in the work ensure that.
