The best ice cream in KM (for some the best ice cream in Aachen or even the world :-) is still available at "Il Gelato", even though the ice cream parlor has now moved from Napoleonsberg to Steinkaulplatz 7. The detour from the Eifelsteig is worth it. Of course closed in winter.

Unfortunately only takeaway and stupid on the street. But the ice cream is really great. You have to transport it across the street and then sit nicely on a bench on the beautiful Kornelimünsterer Markt.
