As a native of Bohnsdorf, I have to vehemently disagree. The restoration of a crossing of the railway line results in wonderful circular hiking opportunities between Bohnsdorf, Grünauer Forst, Schmöckwitz, Eichwalde. You can see from the many walkers in the Grünau Forest that this piece of forest has regained its recreational value. And now there is again a dead straight connection to the jitters corner!
The fact that the bridge appears oversized is probably due to the German building regulations. There used to be a modest half-barrier level crossing here.
