The St. Laurentius Church has probably existed in the town since the 13th century. The right of patronage was initially exercised by the Split Canons' Monastery of St. Nicholas, to whom Conrad II, the Pious of Nuremberg, had given this church, among other things, as a gift in 1295.[7] The canons' monastery also had a tax-paying subject family in Wernsbach, as can be seen from the monastery's sal books from 1380, 1460 and 1549.[8]In 1434, the Heilsbronn monastery acquired a meadow and subsequently three farms.[9]In 1529, two subject families were subordinate to the Hergersbach headquarters of the imperial city of Nuremberg.Source: Wikipedia

Wernsbach belongs to the Neuendettelsau municipality. The stream of the same name flows into the Franconian Rezat in Windsbach. The Laurentiuskirche has probably existed since the 12th or 13th century (late Romanesque arched portal). See Wikipedia: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Laurentius_(Wernsbach)
