In December 2007, the "cult restaurant" on the Elbe island celebrated its 75th anniversary as Hamburg's oldest fish restaurant.
The restaurant is a Hamburg attraction and unchanged in its originality. The external appearance, the 50s-style interior, and the regionally unique food offering with Hamburg's smallest menu in terms of quality and quantity are popular and well-known among all guests.
Don't be put off by the first impression. The restaurant has this cult status for a reason and is always well-attended. I ate some of the best homemade fish patties here - an absolute recommendation.

The Veddeler fish restaurant has had cult status in the Port of Hamburg for decades. The best fried fish in Hamburg is served here in a rustic harbor atmosphere. (Don't forget tartar sauce ;-)
