Acquafraggia Waterfalls

The Acquafraggia waterfalls are located in Borgonuovo and the parts that are also visible from the road are only the most impressive, but not the only ones.
The basin of the Acqua Fraggia is located at the western entrance to the Bregaglia.
The torrent of the same name rises from the Pizzo di Lago at 3050 meters above sea level, in an alpine watershed from which rivers flow into the North Sea, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean. Descending to the valley floor, it crosses two hanging valleys, both of glacial origin, one at two thousand meters and the other at a thousand meters above sea level. The Acqua Fraggia therefore forms a series of waterfalls, of which the lower ones, with their double jump, are only the most impressive.
