The Starkenburger Hütte is exposed on a green ledge, so you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Stubai Valley and the 3,277 meter high Habicht. If you stay the night and don't want to sleep outside, you can also reserve your place in the hut there. But be careful, during hot summer weeks the cistern tends to empty, so that you cannot enjoy the luxury of running water there either.

Nice end point of several extensive bike tours from the Stubai Valley. But also the starting point for crossing the Seejöchl (carry-slide route) and then continue from there on a trail to the Adolf Pichler hut. The trail can only be fully ridden by experienced users.
