The Starkenburger Hütte is exposed on a green ledge, so you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Stubai Valley and the 3,277 meter high Habicht. If you stay the night and don't want to sleep outside, you can also reserve your place in the hut there. But be careful, during hot summer weeks the cistern tends to empty, so that you cannot enjoy the luxury of running water there either.

From Neustift you have to climb about 1300 meters in altitude to get to the Starkenburger Hut. Since the path is mostly shaded, you don't dry up so quickly.
