The 33 ha nature reserve (NSG) consists of four sub-areas at Kulmberg and Kienberg. These are steep valley slopes of a Muschelkalkzu-ges above the White Main, which were used until about the middle of the 18th century for wine growing. In 1986 the area in the nature area "Obermainisches Hügelland" was protected.
Noticeable are the numerous hedges running perpendicular to the slope, which have settled along the so-called Lesesteinwälle. The soil in this area is very rocky. The peasants collected the stones in the fields and, at the edge of their parcels, piled them into small ramparts that protected the vines from the wind and improved the microclimate in the vineyard.

The Weinleite is bathed in beautiful light, especially in the afternoon and evening. I saw 6 deer today. A small chapel adorns the slope. There are always benches to sit and enjoy the view.
