Hiking

The castle was probably built by the Counts of Riedenburg or their heirs, the Wittelsbach family. In the 16th century the castle had already fallen into disrepair. The 10 meter high ruins of the keep with the high entrance behind the former shield wall on a base area of about 7.5 by 7.5 meters, made of hump ashlar, and the neck moat driven into the rock are still preserved from the former castle complex
