The cycle path between Ingolstadt and Riedenburg connects the Danube cycle path with the Altmühltal cycle path. On its route, it ideally combines the scenic experience with an excursion into the regional railway history.The bike tour on the Schambachtalbahn cycle path runs on the former railway line between Ingolstadt-Nord and Riedenburg, which opened in 1904 and was finally closed for passenger traffic in 1972.
