The 6-hectare nature reserve Koberfelsen was created in September 1989 by resolution of the district of Gera. In addition to gorge and hillside mixed forests, the main habitat are silicate rocks and rocky outcrops with rock crevices and pioneer vegetation. Nature conservation species include the Spanish flag and the great mouse ear.

Over the summit of Koperfelsen you can also make a crossing. The small narrow path is not geek and a little overgrown there hardly any migrates. The slope at Kobersfelden (with "s" - the name should be changed if necessary) is really worth seeing. A similar structure can also be found in Hirschberg. At the moment (as of 04/2020) the way from the ice bridge is blocked. There is already a barrier right at the ice bridge ...
