The Hohe Berg was an anti-aircraft missile site during the Cold War. After the site was abandoned, the area was renaturalized. The Hohe Berg is the highest elevation between the North Sea and Lake Steinhude. From the observation tower, you can enjoy a fantastic view on clear days.

Great view of the surrounding Geest landscape and Bremen. On a clear day you can see the whole panorama of Bremen from Tenever in the east to the steelworks in the west. Maybe you can even look further, if you're lucky.
There are also the remains of a Nike FlaRak position on the high mountain.
