In the Vondelpark is the Vondel Monument, also known as Vondelbeeld, a large statue for the 17th century Dutch poet and playwright Joost van den Vondel. The statue was unveiled on 18 October 1867, after which the park itself became known as Vondel (s) Park, which became its official name in 1880. Vondelpark is the best-known and second-largest park in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam.

The Vondel Church is a church building in the Vondelstraat in Amsterdam West. From 1880 to 1977 it was used as a church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the same Catholic community. Today it is used as an office and reception room.
