The hiking trail between the dam of Lake Montespluga and the Italian village of Isola is breathtaking. Initially on level ground, then steeply downhill, you walk close to the precipice with sweeping views of the Cardinello Gorge. The path is well-paved and well-maintained, allowing you to walk mindfully yet at the same time in a relaxed manner. As if the only thing here were the sky, the rocks, the green treetops, and the water of the mountain rivers… you are incredibly close to the elements and nature.
