The short history of Hohenseelbach Castle from the 14th century has always been the subject of oral and literary tradition. You can read the corresponding saga and the entry in the castle register here - always interesting what you can find if you do some research. The saga is about an extinct noble family, the wickedness of a knight and the love of his wife. On moonlit nights, the destroyed castle is said to rise from the depths for a moment and a long, black flag can be seen from afar.
