An area of around 86 hectares around the Wildsee was designated as a protected forest as early as 1911, making it the oldest natural forest reserve in Baden-Württemberg.
de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wildsee_(Ruhestein)The cozy chairlift with a touch of the 1960s is definitely worth a trip. The descent to the Wildsee is always an experience. Good footwear and surefootedness are an advantage.
Of course you can also run the tour the other way around .. ;-) Apart from the paths and paths, the forest has been left to its own devices since 1911.
Some paths that are still listed on komoot are now also closed and are left to nature.

A tower ällig was due again and since komoot only had a mere 50.9 km there and back, it was obvious to choose the new Goethe Tower as the destination.
The way there through the forest follows the R8 almost continuously, is pleasant to drive and leads almost completely through the countryside 🌳🍀🌳Magnificent weather offered us a wonderful view of the Frankfurt skyline and the great Feldberg in the background. In the beer garden at the tower you can eat and fortify yourself tasty and cheap. 🍟🥨🌭🍻The way back suggested by komoot is only recommended if you like to drive along roads.
From Egelsbach we could fly along the new cycle expressway to Wixhausen. 🚀The pace, which is ambitious for me is thanks to my 3 committed fellow cyclists. 🙏😎
