The cycling classic Paris – Roubaix has not started in Paris since 1977 but in front of this castle. Parts of the palace complex including three different museums can be visited. The large castle park is open daily and admission is free.

The square in front of the castle has been the official start of Paris - Roubaix for many years now... that made my cycling heart beat faster, although for the rest of the square in front of the castle it's just a parking lot. The cobblestones are bad here, completely in style with the rest of the race. The castle itself is impressive to see.
