Succeeding a small building without much interest, the current church was rebuilt in 1860 according to the plans of Grisart, architect of the Palace of Compiègne, at the instigation of the Emperor Napoleon III and the Empress Eugénie, familiar with the region with their many stays in Compiègne and Pierrefonds. In neo-Romanesque style, the church is especially worthy of its curious bell tower forming a porch, whose strongly overhanging roofs which crown each of its two floors give it the appearance of a pagoda. The second floor is covered with split chestnut essences.
